Our cat ate, clawed and slowly destroyed every plant in our apartment, until we finally gave up and keep not a single plant inside. Domino has a great collection of tips for folks like us, from the avoidant (choosing non-yummy/non-toxic plants) to the punitive (cayenne pepper in the soil).

Good list. Luckily my dogs have never bothered with my houseplants so I guess I'm lucky. BUT...they will eat chunky mulch like it's candy so I can only have pine needle mulch in my backyard.
