Bemz's New Serendipity Collection

Bemz is a brilliant concept, one we wished we'd thought of ourselves. This Swedish company began selling cotton and linen/cotton-blend slipcovers to fit Ikea's upholstered furniture last year and has just released a new Rococo-inspired line of prints.

"Serendipity" is Bemz's answer to the growing popularity of more ornate, decorated surfaces, fast becoming a trend in home design. Designer Katarina Wiklund was inspired by traditional 18th century Gustavian Swedish designs, and the resulting prints (Eggshell Blue stripes and checks, Sandy Beige, and Dusty Rose's black and white/rose combos) all have an airy, quiet, country feeling about them.
