Bird Feet from Rare Device

Sometimes the things we want aren't particularly useful and don't make much sense. Take these bird feet, for example. We can't really think anything to do with them except put them on our mantle and stare at them, but every time we see them we want them a little more.

Sometimes getting something pretty to look at is enough of a reason for spending money though.

If they are heavy enough, they would make great bookends. Or you could have them sticking out from under a potted plant as an homage to The Wizard of Oz.

I remember clipping these feet out from an article in the Times or somewhere a few months ago -- does anyone remember? it was a piece showing a bunch of things that one might want just because they were wonderful. I love the feet.
