Keys, check. Mail, check. Cell phone, check. Sunglasses, check. Olympia-based milkpail's Doorknob Organizers have one large pocket and four smaller ones. Imagine having everything in one place instead of spread out all over your kitchen counter -- a mini-landing strip, right there on your doorknob.

ooh, i love this - but on a wall-mounted doorknob, not my real entry/exit doorknob.

I've always thought these seemed like such a great idea, so I purchased one similar - and it drove me nuts! :-) I agree with heather leaf that these are really nice, just not on functional doorknobs.

This would also make a fun and simple sewing project if you wanted to customize to your personal taste/organization needs.

there's a very similar pattern for this in Amy Butler's "In Stitches." She calls it a bathroom organizer.

yes, i must make one.. and put a thin cardboard insert within the two-layered fabric to provide sturdiness.

Hanging weighted objects on doorknobs can misalign the door
and weaken the knob.

I tried something like this on my front door. I was really pleased with it until I went out to get the mail and could not get back inside. The weight of it on the handle inside made opening the door from the outside simply impossible. I made such a racket that one of my neighbors thought I was trying to break into my own house.
