Factory Mirrors in the Sundance Catalog

7-15-08-casement-mirror.jpg

Simple and beautiful, period. We've all by now seen window frames turned into mirrors, and we know this can be a rewarding and unique DIY project with a great salvage or flea market find. Sundance has created these paned mirrors inspired by casement windows, and we love the look of the iron and strong geometry.

We were kind of disappointed, though, to learn that they are not actually casement windows, and only a copy of the design. But now we know what to look for on our next trip to our favorite architectural salvage place.

Is it me or does this design just look wrong with brand-new shiny silver mirror as opposed to antiqued?

I agree. Antiqued mirror would be way better. Somehow this looks cheap, which is crazy considering the price.
