Felt Pebbles from Branch

5-20-felted_pebbles.jpg
We're not really sure why we love these felt pebbles, but we were so captivated when we saw them in person that we had to buy one. They look surprisingly real until you pick them up, and the tactile quality of the felt manages to amuse visitors of all ages.

$14-22 each or $92 for a set of six at Branch.

The current issue of Martha Stewart Living has a DIY version of these! Aside from the roving, they shouldn't cost much to make at all.

Craftzine.com also showed one as a rug. It must feel so soft on the feet.

I was very close to saying something snarky about felt rocks...until I remembered The Pet Rock.

At least with the felt ones, you can throw them in glass houses.
