Letterpress Coasters from 12fifteen

8-1-08 12fifteen coasters.jpgThere's something about the crispness of color and heft of paper to good letterpress that gets us every time. We love looking at latest trends in stationery and cards using this process, as they often inspire us with their use of color and design. Needless to say we'd like to add more of it to our home, and we think these coasters are a nice way to do so...

8-1-08 12fifteen coaster 2.jpg12fifteen carries the coasters in a variety of sizes and styles. We're partial to the yellow flower and cactus patterns, but also are fond of the sweet simplicity of the green branches and birds in flight. Prices are $12 for a set of 8, and while paper coasters probably aren't going to last too long, think of them like flowers - they'll add cheerful beauty and color to your home while they're around.

But are they green? I don't quite understand the enthusiasm for letterpress and cute little paper goods.

I've noticed these coasters on etsy and thought they were adorable. Unfortunately they don't look very usable. Any condensation on the glass is going to ruin these coasters.

bemyescape - the ink I use is actually waterproof and the coasters can therefore withstand multiple use (unless red wine is spilled of course :)
