Lovelydesign Address File

There are some of us who actually prefer paper to a Palm Pilot. And who wouldn't rather have a hand-crafted piece of art on their desk than a plastic office-type rolodex?

In her lovelydesign studio in Vancouver, Canada, Sharilyn Wright creates files of Canadian maple wood. She adds 24 index file cards and 260 cards made of found paper (from ledgers, forms, exercise books, and placemats discovered in thrift shops, dollar stores, book shops, and recycle bins). The unexpected colours, patterns, and textures bring some fun to the daily grind.

Black walnut files will be available in the next few weeks.

Address files are $75, packs of 30 additional cards are $6. They're also available at the AIA Bookstore and Cut+Paste.

I've been one to try and keep track of my contacts via just a plain ole word document or something, but with something this attractive, I might have to go back to the old traditional way.
