Recycled Glass Terrarium at VivaTerra

2-10-09-terrarium.jpg

Terrariums hold a special fascination for us. The little glass-enclosed world provides a mental escape without leaving the house, or even the room. The pear shape of this one, containing a tiny air-garden of bromeliads, makes it particularly irresistible.

The recycled glass vessel can be ordered on its own, or complete as a terrarium.

Very nice. Do the holes in the sides reduce the low-maintenance aspect of a terrarium, or is there a plug of some kind to keep the moisture in?

These are awesome. I'm obsessed with terrariums of late and have been hunting the city for the perfect glass containers.

Yeah, I saw them at my Tuesday Morning too. I couldn't figure out what they were...."why would I want a glass pear with a hole in it?"

Kinda sorta remind me of the blown glass candleholders from CB2. http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=585&f=2447&viewall=1
