SF Good Questions: Where Can I Find the ANES Mirror?

2-8-good q.jpgAT:SF,
I'm trying to find the ANES Mirror. IKEA does not have any available. Would you have any idea where else I can find it?
Thanks,
Donna

AT:SF,
I would like to know where can I purchase the ANES Mirror in New York?
Thank you very much,
Sonia

Donna and Sonia,

Curious as to why we had two similar questions within a matter of days, we can only assume it has something to do with this post we wrote last year: IKEA's Small Space Solutions: Bedroom.

According to IKEA, although the ANES Mirror is no longer on their website, it has not been discontinued. There aren't any available at this time, and they don't have a timeframe for when it will be back in stock -- because there are "supplier issues." You might want to give a store near you a call in the future to see if they have it -- U.S. locations are here.

We hadn't realized how few inexpensive, round, wood mirrors there are. We did find the Tribecca Mirror at Crate & Barrel. Anyone have any other suggestions?

that is too funny...i went hunting for that damn anes mirror after looking at that small space post about two months ago. no luck. we ended up getting a mirror from eq3 that was close, but still not as big. and of course it was considerably more expensive (but still not that bad).

I have the Grundtal mirror (also from Ikea) and I love it. It's steel around the outside instead of wood, but the overall look is the same and it is very sturdy and heavy.

Try ebay. If it is an Ikea product, lots of people specialize in selling EBAY items to those of us who don't live near an IKEA

I saw this in Ikea Burbank pretty recently - for those in SoCal.

I recently came across a similar mirror that is beautiful but not cheap.

It comes from a guy who refinishes Heywood Wakefield pieces, and also makes custom pieces.

Round mirrors are indeed hard to find. The Door store (NY, NJ) has a few that are reasonably priced.
