Splash Bowl

10.21.09 bowl 1.jpg We love to see how things are made--especially when the things that are being made are beautiful! This pewter drip bowl is no exception...

10.21.09 bowl 2.jpg Tim Parsons, in an ongoing project with A.R. Wentworths of Sheffield to explore the properties and possibilities of pewter, has designed a bowl that is created by dripping molten pewter over a mold. The bowl is formed as the drips fuse together in layers, and the inherent characteristics of the metal are showcased as it transforms from a liquid into a solid. Check out the video that shows the process on spotd.it.
