Swivel Clock from Anthropologie
Bear in mind that this new style from Anthropologie only has one face, but it's attached to a swivel arm, allowing you to view the time from more than one angle. The relatively small face of the clock is noticeable without being obtrusive, and could serve well as a little reminder of laundry or baking that needs to be checked. Oh...it's only 6.5" tall?! Too bad, I thought it was at least 12". Totally not worth the price then. Still looks cool, though!

I've come to see Anthropologie as a source of inspiration only. 85% of the time the beautiful objects are ridiculously priced. Although I must admit that I have found some beautiful pieces in the sale section, marked down to a more reasonable price.

I agree with Oftheaprilbirds. If you've got an Anthropologie near you, go often. I got a cute, large vase that was marked down to $12, and every now and then floor samples of the furniture will be deeply discounted (I've seen up to 75% off). Usually the mark-downs aren't advertised.

Totally in accord w/Oftheaprilbirds and stylehound. Anthropologie has a genius for styling and display, as well as product. I especially love looking at their one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, though the pricetags are staggering (example: an English plant stand in their Georgetown store a few months ago, for 12 THOUSAND dollars). One can get great ideas from visiting their stores and perusing their catalogs and website. And yes, I've made a few 'on sale' purchases as well, all in the "under $50" range!
As for this simple but handsome clock: you'd think that, for 88 bucks, they could have sprung for two faces!

@mirandabee, i used to be totally amazed by how pricey the vintage pieces in the store were, too! i'm pretty sure the reason for the ridiculously high price is because they really don't want to sell these little jems. it's these vintage pieces that make up the personality of the store.
i love getting inspiration from anthropologie, and checking out the sale rack. i won't lie, i've overpaid for many an item here, like my gorgeous patchwork bedding, but i think many things are a great value, too, like their portuguese made latte bowls which come in a dozen different colors. :)
