Herbi Smart Hydroponic Garden

2006_06_23_herbarium_x.jpgIn theory, none of us should really need this, living as we do in one of the best places in the country for year-round gardening. But how many people do you know who have no house plants at all? Or worse, fake ones? The Herbi Smart Hydroponic Garden was invented for them.

OK, we'll get off our high horse. This product was probably invented for us, since we love house plants and insist on having them even though we don't always have time to keep them in ship shape.

All you have to do to make your indoor plants thrive is keep the tanks full of a month's worth of water and fertilizer. The herbarium measures nutrient and water levels and releases what's needed to your plants.

Herbi Smart has modern design appeal. Industrial designer Michael Kritzer apparently was inspired by the works of Tadao Ando.

Sadly, it's not yet commercially available.
