These yellow tulips called to us last Sunday, and we couldn't resist the call. 6 bucks for a little bit of happiness from Trader Joe's -- not bad. We love tulips, and there's something about wintertime that always makes us crave the color yellow. An old French florist once told me that the secret of getting your tulip stems to bend outwards gracefully is to just put about an inch of water in the vase. It works.
