Color Inspiration: I'm inspired by clean modern design, but I've always been drawn to bold, fun colors. So I try to balance the two by having a minimal, modern base with pops of bright colors and prints to energize the space.

Bowl of Fruit

Colors Used: The gray walls and yellow door are Benjamin Moore- I don't have the names in front of me, but I could find them in my shed if anyone is interested. The back splash tiles are "beach glass blend" from modwalls.com

Color Tip: Balance is key. I spread colors around the space so they aren't overused in one area vs. another. Also, I think it's important to know when to tone it down. I wanted a piece of art for the blank wall in my kitchen, but I felt that a colorful piece would be too much with the rug and cushions. I looked around for a large black and white photo or print, but couldn't find one in my budget, so I painted the lemon/bee painting for the space.

Wow! This is my favourite entry yet. You have an eye! The colours pop! The grey is just perfect - could it be Benjamin Moore's Stonington Grey? The green is just the right shade - is it Grape green? I would love to see other rooms that you decorated. You inspire me very very much. Best of luck to the finals...!

What a fabulous kitchen! Grey, white, and bright yellow/lime are one of my all-time favorite combinations. The red compliments everything well, too. Adorable, great job!

I can't find my left over gray paint, so I don't know exactly what color it is. Someone mentioned that it might be Benjamin Moore's Stonington Gray- I did try that one, but didn't end up using it. The gray I went with had a greenish hue to it. It was the only one that really looked good with the tile.
Someone also asked about the fruit bowl. I got it at Ross (about 3 years ago). I remember having a hard time finding a low budget, modern looking fruit bowl. But I think there are more options out there these days.
