Black is back. Actually, it never really went anywhere but people are starting to feel more and more comfortable with using it as a color for their interior walls. Here at Apartment Therapy, we've seen every room in the house painted black and we never get tired of seeing it. ya mean the candelabra?
I think I'd feel sexy and calm in a black bathroom... until I see all the dust bunnies in the corners and start feeling stressed about cleaning them.

we've tiled bath-floors in 2 homes with dal-tile keystones/black -- one in hex and one in squares... both with charcoal grout. we really like the low-key look. the biggest problem was dust, powder, efflorescence, etc. which made the grout look dingy -- even after sealing. in our old place, we discovered the armor-all worked well at keeping them vibrant, but not greasy looking. weird, but true.

Gah, this picture made me flash back to my first apartment. The bathroom was very long and narrow, no more than three or four feet wide and at least twice as long. It was tiled black. The fixtures were black. There was no window. It was nightmare inducing.

I had a black bathroom, including black tub, in Cesaer's Palace in Las Vegas. Unless you have daily maid service, black shows everything, all the soap splashes, etc. The tub looked absolutely disgusting after a bath...
