FIRST ROW

• 1 If you like a classic spindle chair but want one that will weather the elements, there are plenty of outdoor Windsor knock-offs out there. We think these painted ones are cute, but of course they come in natural finishes as well. This particular model is available from Backyard City for $71.95.

• 2 Ikea's outdoor furniture is inexpensive, of course, and it's made from sustainable acacia wood. Commenters have raved about its comfort and quality in previous Apartment Therapy forums. The Applaro rocker is $69.99.

• 3 For something "green" on the higher end, take a look at Loll Designs' take on the Adirondack rocker. It's made from recycled polyethylene, and it comes in several pretty colors, for $570.

• 4 The Julep Rocker from CB2 has been all over the blogosphere since the warm weather hit, and with good reason. It's nice-looking, comfortable (we've heard), and affordable, at $149.

• 5 This beautiful old Adirondack twig rocking chair dates back to around 1910. Andrew Spindler Antiques lists it for $1,300 on 1st Dibs, along with a few other more extravagant (and gorgeous) twig chairs.

SECOND ROW

• 6 This vintage aluminum and teak rocker would look amazing on a retro-style patio. It's being listed on ebay as a set, along with two matching non-rockers, for $199.95.

• 7 We've never thought of rattan as particularly chic, but this Goa Outdoor Rocking Chair proves us wrong. The extra width makes it look like a great reading chair, as well. It's pricey, at $1,055 from inmod.

• 8 Last but... well, maybe least: another "vintage" aluminum patio rocker, one of many listed on ebay. The nylon webbing on a chair like this just screams summer, doesn't it? We can practically smell the chlorine. Of course, it's not the sturdiest chair, but for $10.49, what can you really expect?
