Tree branches are also great for hanging Xmas ornaments. Crate and Barrel usually sells white Manzanita ones around the holidays.

I've just spent the last hour looking for a manzanita jewelry stand. Skip Crate and Barrel and Raina Rae - try Manzanita Burlworks (http://manzanita.com/) for natural or sandblasted manzanita branches for much cheaper...$25 instead of $98. They're based near San Diego and have their statement of compliance (about where/how they get the wood) up on their site, which I appreciate.
