Company Store Jute Runners

2006_06_20_company_jute.jpgWe were paging through The Company Store's latest catalogue and noticed that they have jute runner rugs in some great colors. Perhaps another answer to the perennial question of what to do with a super-long San Francisco hallway? (see here and here).

These runners are still only a measly 9 feet long, but because you can buy them finished and unbanded, we can envision assembling a super-long runner from multiples, with the seam between them fairly subtle.

But mostly they caught our eye because of the unusually nice colors: in addition to the standard neutrals there's celadon, chocolate, gold, olive, seafoam, rust, and terrcotta. And the price is reasonable ($59), so you can afford to play around until you find just the right expanse of color(s).
