Mary-Kate and Ashley Rug Collection at Target

Yes. We know. But we are on the hunt for a rug (again; it seems like the quest never ends) and among the far less interesting options available, happened on this colorful collection at Target. While likely aimed at a younger market, the surprisingly engaging patterns and colors helped us see past the name.

As we think about color for Fall, there's no faulting these rugs for shying away from it. And even the plainest striped rug has a little bit of extra pattern in it to keep the brightness from being gratuitous.

There's no reason to be hung up on name brands, good or bad.

Sure, we lust after Eames and Miller, but that's just because they are consistently quality products.

But if you've got a great find from MK&A for Target... I'd gloat about it! I love the B&W rug above the cut.

I have no problem with MK & A, I adore them. i DO however have a problem with those rugs. I think they're terrible. Garish colors and those designs have already been done. Sorry MK & A.

What in the world does that mean?

maybe i've been spending too much time at Ikea, but these seem really overpriced considering its Target.

While I don't think that I've ever considered Mary Kate and Ashley for home furnishings, these are okay. The prices seem in line with other outlets. The sizes are odd, though--9 by 7, not 8 by 10?

I saw the black swirly one online last week and liked it...not the others though. Anyone see them in person? I wonder if the quality is any good.

I prefer to buy cheap rugs and not have too much heartache when they get dirty. I try to keep my house clean, but between my dog and the occasional pair of winter boots that get worn into the house, rugs don't have an amazing lifespan in my home.

Looking at these, I can see they would be great in an apartment that had to have white walls.

OK. I have one of these rugs in our kid's playroom and it has been great. Playdoh, sequins, glue--you name it and it has held up. The rug is soft and colorful and perfect for the room. Who knew?

I saw Mary Kate and Ashley rugs in some catalog recently but I can't remember which one. I personally like the colorful swirly one although these things make me laugh. My chain does all sorts of celebrity-named lines, and none of them are ever involved beyond saying okay or not to what we design for them and then picking up the royalty checks.

I like the one right above "Yes. We know. But we are on the hunt for"

It is so nice how their products have grown up with them, they should give out financial advice, those girls!

The black doodles rug is actually kind of cool - and dare I say modern as well? I'd consider it.
