Lately, peacock blue has been our favorite color, and we've been trying to find ways to incorporate some of it into our home. This rug from Urban Outfitters may be the trick.

We love the color, of course, but are also finding ourselves drawn to the large, graphic pattern. Fun, but not overwhelming, and at a price point that wouldn't make us feel too guilty if this color phase of ours turns out to be a passing one.
• 60" Round Printed Peacock Rug, available for $48 from Urban Outfitters.
Please -- Enough of the infomercials for cheap imported crap, and more resources for reasonably priced, well-crafted and preferably domestic-made items of lasting quality.

Does anyone know the quality of their rugs? I'm obsessed with the idea of having a zebra pattern rug in my living room, but I can't afford to spend much, and classifieds aren't really turning up anything...

Lovely. It would go with nothing I have, but nice to admire.

I love the colors and patterns of many UO rugs, but I believe that this one, and many others like it, is screenprinted canvas or something along those lines. It seems like a prettified drop cloth, not a rug [which can be okay, I guess].

I have a couple UO rugs, and yes, they are just screen printed canvas kind of thing...the colour fades pretty quickly if they are in high-traffic area, but over all I'm pretty happy with them, and am thinking of getting this one for a landing at the top of the stairs.

michpc - have you tried Overstock.com. They have a lot of zebra print rugs (I'm obsessed with getting one for my bedroom but haven't taken the plunge).

From what I have seen at the UO store the home goods looks and feels to be horrible quality. I know the items must appeal to young people going into collage or getting their own place for the first time..but don't fall for it. Invest in one piece that you love that you can use to build on. Then check out thrift stores, look for things when you travel, flea markets for other pieces. I am really happy I did not fall for buying crap when I was young.

Yes, Overstock is best because they have gorgeous, high quality, (many guaranteed child labor safe) rugs at slashed prices. This way, one needn't stoop to buying made-in-China-child-labor-crap via Urban Outfitters.
