We've been thrilled with Fort Mason's event schedule lately, and this weekend does not disappoint. The venue will host the 33rd year of the American Craft Fair here in the Bay Area, and there are some new developments to the event that we're really excited about...
Like for the first time the fair will include an "AltCraft" area, which will feature the work of ten artists who've been selected by special jury. Among those chosen are Susan Dwyer (you've seen her votives on here before) and Susan Angebranndt of Green Chair Press - both artists whose work we'd like to see. And as far as the rest of the vendors, they are selected by the American Craft Council, too, so you know the level of craftsmanship will be high. If you're in the area, we hope to see you there.

Oooh... how did they do that dish? Gold leafing? Paint? It doesn't look like glaze... Mommmm I can't make it to san francisco, so can I borrow your kiln (again?)
