Tonight I (Seattle-based AT:SF blogger Danielle) will be at DWR Seattle, where Design*Sponge is hosting a get-together for women in — or interested in — design-based businesses. There will be snacks, mingling and advice from people in the biz, including Grace (Design*Sponge) herself, artist Fumi Watanabe and Velocity Art and Design's John Tusher.
Biz Ladies Meetup in Seattle Today!
Fumi Watanabe will talk about her business, its success and day-to-day life; Grace will take on PR and marketing for the independent designer; John Tusher, owner of Velocity Art and Design, will talk about wholesaling and retail; and Michelle Hayden Bomberger will delve into the nitty-gritty business stuff, such as legal concerns, taxes and contracts.
