Way back in April, we featured a local artist, Niana Liu, whose vibrant SF maps-as-art (as well as her paintings and photographs of other subjects) are amazing.

While her upcoming event missed our Events Calendar, it didn't entirely slip our minds.

This Saturday and Sunday, from 11 am until 4 pm, Niana Liu will be at the Asian Art Museum, painting live at the North Court [behind the gift shop]. The event is related to the Museum's exhibit, Curious Affair: Fascination Between the East and West, and she'll be demonstrating how Eastern and Western culture affect the way she paints.
