3-7-aelogo.jpgVintage furniture shopping can be exhausting (what a tough life we have!), and it's refreshing to stumble into a contemporary showroom while we're wandering around the Mission looking for teak credenzas or Eames chairs. Though its reputation states that architectural elements is on the pricier side, over the past year or so we've noticed that the owner has really made an effort to get affordable and domestic upholstered pieces into the showroom. We spotted a chocolate brown sectional for under $3,000 just a few weekends ago and a great looking faux leather futon (with style!) that was around $850.

An artist named Tung designed the modular corrugated wall unit behind the sofa. It's great for acoustics and looks stunning. Unfortunately, it isn't for sale. We've also picked up some comfy sheepskin pillows.

architectural elements not only carries your bigger, more recognizable brands, but also local and smaller designers like Nicholas Furrow, who's based out of Brooklyn.
