6-27-08lotusbleuext4.jpgltosus.pngEven at 250 square feet, Lotus Bleu packs a punch! Specializing in interior design and home decor from France and Vietnam, Lotus Bleu is your go-to spot for all things colorful & printed. Their in-house designs include a lacquer collection made from resin, ceramic, wood, or bamboo. The lacquers are beautiful and come in a variety of different colors. Vases, trays, coasters... those types of things. Even some lighting (that's lacquered!). Lotus Bleu also carries a small furniture collection (shown above) that has fantastic fabrics to choose from. Tons! And they also will make custom cushions or pillows for you. Jonathan Adler and Domino magazine would go ape in this shop. It's that colorful and fun.

I love the chairs in the top picture! I assume that they're vintage chairs that they recovered.

I like this Number 4 tray:

Ami:
There are a couple of them online, says they are "Vintage side chair by Danish designer, Kai Kristiansen,"

They are on this page:

Some of the items are sold out, like this love seat:

But you NEED to see the older pieces with the newer fabric, and then you hit Craigslist. And have the piece you like refinished the way you want (as far as the wood...AND the fabric).

love this store and stop in almost as much as i go to blue bottle coffee around the corner (therapy for my color phobia). i could never recover a kai kristiansen like this though. those chairs are so sculptural that they demand something simpler....it's like graffiting a work of art.

Feeling a bit of West coast jealousy about this one :) Those fabrics are gorgeous! Makes me wish I could see them in person, but I'm almost as happy to browse their beautifully restored vintage chairs online. This is one I'll definitely have to pass on to my readers at http://www.greenyourdecor.com
