4-21-08mickeyexterior.jpgOnce inside Mickey's Monkey, one would assume that everyone in the city would know about it. It's that good. But alas, it is still a hidden gem where you can purchase way out there knicknacks, super funky and cheap furnishings, unique lamps, and a whole bunch of other stuff that we can't quite lump into a category.

The prices are very reasonable inside Mickey's Monkey. We scored (in our head) two teak Danish side tables for $120 (the pair!), and they were in flawless original condition.

As you can see by the packed shelves, you could (and we did) easily spend an entire day in here.

Murano glass, super sized graphic fabrics, lamps from the 70's, Mickey's Monkey has something for everyone.

If you're like us, then you love owls. We were pleasantly surprised to see these little guys.

Again, and we can't stress this enough. There is something for everyone!

One of my favorite shops in my neighborhood. It's always good to check back every few weeks as they are constantly getting new items.

Yep! I live a block away and walk past it everyday after getting off the N--so I get to check out their new additions daily, yay!

I found this place randomly a couple of months ago and fell in love. Especially since I am an owl lover, they always have a ton of stuff!

Excellent! I'm moving to SF in about a year and one of the few things I will miss about Anchorage is the awesome, inexpensive, vast antique shop we have. It looks pretty much just like this! I am stoked to know I have a replacement waiting for me. :D

This little place has very reasonable prices for funky, cool stuff. If you need to outfit a place with furniture that's unusual and solidly made, this is the spot to go. So worth it to check in often as stuff gets snapped up quickly.
