We all have our secret sources for furnishing our home. Walk into Mickey's Monkey in the Lower Haight and it may become one of your regular stops.

It's a little bit off the beaten path and before you go through the door, you will find furniture stacked out front. The best part is that the prices are incredibly reasonable. After you shop the credenzas, desks and chairs outside -- inside is a treasure trove of mostly vintage accessories for your home. Think grandma's attic only better.

The staff are super friendly and if they don't have what you're looking for they may just have a great suggestion for you. Just remember it's cash or check only. If you are an urbanite without a truck, they will deliver for a relatively small fee.

What a little jewel of curiosities! I love the idea of presenting quirky objects like they are fine works of art, it makes the difference between "cookie-cutter" style or truly genuine and unique design. So glad someone is drawing attention to this little jem.
