From the photo above, I imagined this person as a renter who wholeheartedly embraced his aqua color rental carpet by painting the walls the exact same hue!

After looking at the listings I see it is actually gray, which is not as daring or dramatic, but still a good idea that might work to help move focus away from ugly carpeting.
