Um, I want to know where that chair's from! I want a few just like that for our home office and craft space--my requirements are that it *not* be made out of leather, that it come in some kind of neutral or warm tone (any brown, cream, white, taupe, even brick or dark red would all be great), that it be comfortable, and that it not cost an arm and a leg. Anyone? Anyone?

hyzen, its the Eames Aluminum Group Side Chair by Herman Miller. With arms, its my favorite office chair ever.

i'm guessing it came from room and board since that's where the armoire came from and that looks suspiciously like a catalog photo

Well, the Eames Aluminum Group side chair fails two of your requirements because it's leather and expensive.

It goes for just over $1K.

It does come in some nice colors and can be special-ordered in even more.

Sorry, I meant to insert a plus sign in that generally inarticulate comment!

Wow, you guys are on the ball--thanks for the quick info!! I'm disappointed that it's leather and so expensive, though. Any ideas for something more affordable in a similar aesthetic, sans cowhide?

There are often Eames Soft-Pad chairs (similar chair, covered in fabric) on Craigslist - Just keep an eye out for one.

I'd save a search on ebay, you can find them in cloth, they don't only come in leather. Here's a vintage one in blue cloth:

If you're patient you'll find one cheaper...
