Bucket-of-Parts Modular Bench from All+

At long last, it's the Mr. Potatohead of furniture... the SITO bench, from Italian design firm All+, is available with a smattering of mix-and-match modular parts that allow you to customize your bench at will. Add a wastebasket here, a lamp there, a Marimekko cushion over here, and voilá! A bench of your own design, customized to your needs...

The design of the SITO bench itself is minimalist and clean; the customer chooses from a series of pre-fab "parts" that slip right into slots along the top. Chair seats with lacy webbing, sleek lamps, and colorful cushions are among the available options.

Most of the work All+ does is intended for a public environment, be it an office or a park, but we could see this bench working in the right home, maybe as a landing strip or for a long hallway.
