One of our favorite things about ICFF was meeting small furniture designers. And one of our favorite pieces at the show happened to be made by one. Isaac Arms Studio Furniture is a one man operation out of Bozeman, Montana. The studio's Pod Bench combines wood and steel into a very clean, modern piece of furniture that manages to feel very warm and natural.
We were surprised to see such sleek furniture coming out of Montana, and Isaac himself confirmed that he doesn't sell much locally. Each piece is made to order in Arms' Bozeman workshop, meaning that everything can be customized for the individual buyer if needed. The Pod Bench measures 60" X 18" X 16" and retails for $3900.

I love Isaac's work. There are two of his benches at the San Francisco Museum of Craft Design. They aren't the pod benches but are pretty cool as well.

It's pretty neat! I don't need a bench, and I'm getting a little tired of the word "pod" lately, and it's really expensive, so it lost some points, but it's otherwise really cool.

Reminds me of a tank track, like here:

As for color chips, what do you all think about the colors of the wheels of the tank that is on fire?
Has that combination ever been "in style". And I don't mean the camouflage look or doing everything in military style.
You know how there were things in blue and brown. Or black and white.
That is a great combination, it looks like black (but not pitch black), olive, and beige. Kind of. I'm thinking I like that olive. A lot. Instead of the chocolate brown, use olive. That would be so intense on a wall.

P.S. For a good laugh, scroll to the bottom of the Tanks page, and check out the image of the blown apart tank. Be sure to view the red circled area in close up.

hmmm ... i have the sweet lounge cat lounger, which has a squished figure-8 shape to it. the sides are thin plywood ... . wonder if i could take the sides to use as a pattern & somehow figure out how to hack this? it would be a lot easier if i was actually clever & crafty instead of an armchair designer. ; )
