It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's... Back In Stock
See What We Waited A Whole Year For!

051409-cup1.jpg Over the last year (and then some) it's been a secret shame of ours, to check every day for a certain item that's been out of stock. We probably could've completed some amazing project in the hours we've logged checking websites for it's return, but that's like thinking about all the hours we could have back had we not been watching Lost each week. Irrelevant! It could be furniture or it could be storage, but we think it's both! Click through to see what has us so excited!!

We're sure you were hoping it was something that did your laundry, took your kids to soccer practice and made you dinner, but this is the next best thing to that right? Right? Come on stay with us here, we think this little thing has great potential!

Sitting at 18.5" tall, it would be great as a stool around the house or a chair when you have extra company over. You could take it outside and use it on your porches or decks, or keep it in and use it as a side table. Flip it over and it becomes a catch all for blankets or toys, could be used as an umbrella stand in your entryway, or even be put to work as a trashcan (which we're sure you could come up with some eco-friendly "I'm making a statement with my permanent plastic cup trash can" story). Besides all that, just think about how much chocolate milk would fit in that thing!

We're still not sure you're as excited about this as we are, but it's ok, we'll let it slide (this time). It's sure to be the talk of your next party or get together and would be an instant magnet for kids and adults alike. It retails for just under $100 from LimiTeds and unless you live in the UK you'll need to call for shipping to the US.

I predict a string of negative comments to follow, but I for one really like this. Kind of has a cool pop art vibe to it.

Neat, but ummmm, I think Ikea has something very, very similar (maybe identical) for about $5… My daughter's school bought a bunch for lunchroom seating, and yes, the kids (and grown-ups) love them!

I'm all for waiting for what you love! Cheers!

i like the ikea's version better:

it comes in different colors and for $5 it can't be beat.

Hehe, I love this! Totally not my thing, but it's so fun! I would love to see this in a normally serious home used as a side table or something.

Some maroon is going to fill it with beer and try to drink the whole thing. I'm going on record. Otherwise, it's really cute!

It's basically an expensive, upside-down bucket. Okay...good luck with it if it makes you excited. I guess I've had my hopes set on things that seem silly to others, too.

You people are missing the point. Sure you could grab one for five bucks at Ikea, and I'd be on board too, but this one looks exactly like your tradition plastic cup! Tape it off and paint it red and I'm joining stt64 at the kegger! ;)

I've owned this for a few years and was able to get it at a steep discount. With that said, the ikea version cannot compare. This version is very well executed and only better in person. I would purchase it at full price again. Of course, you have to enjoy this type of whimsy!

$100 for something that looks like a plastic cup? Um, no. It would work in a frat house.

Something that would be ugly on your lawn at 5 inches does not magically become pretty at 18.5" IMO.

GreatFriend - Maroon? Uhhhh.... It's moron.

No, Maroon. It's a separate, yet closely related insult.

I think this plastic cup thing is really ugly and soulless but I hate gimmicky decor in general. This would probably add a bit of pop art whimsy in the right setting.

Those are kind of awesome. Do they sell giant-sized ping pong balls to?
