SF Good Questions: Adjustable Piston Stool?

1-22-stool.jpgI have been searching for a piston stool that adjusts from counter height to chair height. I found one, the BNT Dublin, but the quality was very poor and the had to be sent back. It should adjust from a seat height of 24" to no more than 19".

I really want the flexibility in my small space of having a counter stool that can do double duty as an extra dining chair.

Have you run across such an item?

Anyone?

Ooh, I'm looking for exactly the same thing. I know what I want but I'm having trouble tracking it down. If you can find something similar, it might be the answer to your problem. Basically, old industrial workshop stools where the seat is on a screw that you can wind up and down. Closest picture I can find after a quick google is this: http://cgi.ebay.fr/ANCIEN-TABOURET-CHAISE-ATELIER-BOIS-REGLAGE-HAUT-VIS_W0QQitemZ150204415484QQihZ005QQcategoryZ32643QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p1638.m124

Yeah, long link, sorry, and it's the chair version rather than the stool version. Scroll down a bit for the picture. It's nice though, huh?

I just did a slightly more intelligent ebay search: http://search.ebay.fr/tabouret-atelier_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40

I think most stools adjust from bar to counter height but not much lower.
