We just came across one more chair that should have made the top ten small-scaled modern dining chairs list: Italian design house Calligaris' Isola Chair, measuring in at 33 7/8"H x 13 7/8"W.
At $159 Isola falls somewhere in the mid-level price range, and seems like a great balance of comfort (curved back, padded seat), looks, and quality. The frame is made of solid cherry and can be wenge-stained, with cushions in cream or black (leather or breathable, stain repellent fabric).
