Convertible Couch from PBteen

5-30-pbt couch1.jpgOn sale at (surprise) PBteen is this not-so-teen-looking covertible couch. We really like the simple lines and mid-century-ish look.

On sale for $799, it seems like a good bet for a small space.

This looks like the one that Urban Outfitters was selling a little bit ago. Does anyone own this and have an opinion on the quality, since I heard that the Urban Outfitters, wasn't so great.

It's the exact same imported (probably from China) sofa as UrbanOutfitters, except a different cover and a higher price.

UrbanOutfitters' furniture is total junk. You'll be lucky if it lasts a few months without problems...

I love this! But, like everyone else, I wonder about its quality. Where does one go to sit on it and try it out. I'll have to do some digging...

Wow - I wish I saw this even at the regular price.

I recently purchased something similar from Room and Board for the same price (not on sale). The model is called Encore:

http://www.roomandboard.com/rnb/collection.do?method=get&id=4197371&cat=4017659

There are some key differences. Encore is armless with three sections and has stainless steel feet.

No regrets, the build quality is excellent but I am surprised a bit that the PB and Room & Board prices are similar.

I got the urban outfitters couch about a month and half ago because of the price, looks, and i had to have a sofa bed for overnight guests. My only gripe is that it was super hard. The bottom cushions have broken in and are comfortable, almost a tempur pedic feel to them, but the top cushions are still pretty hard. A little harder to break them in because not all your weight is on them but I think after someone sleeps on it a couple times, it should be good. What was cool is that it's listed as 480 and 100 dollars to ship but I only paid 510 total so I guess they didn't charge me for shipping. It was a blind faith buy but I'm pleased.

Here's a grainy pic i took with my iphone.
