Four Anthropomorphic Furnishings

Whether for comfort, function, beauty, or humor, these four pieces of furniture are shaped like the body in one way or another...

2 the Bouloum Lounge, which most Apartment Therapy readers found "not hot" in this Hot or Not Survey
3 Tanya Aguiñiga's Embrace Lounge
4 your own little patch of grass: Eternit's human-shaped planter

Why do we create designs that mimic our own human form? Sure, sometimes it's for ergonomics, but more often we think it's purely for the appearance. Do we more closely relate to or empathize with anthropomorphic forms that are similar to our to our own bodies?

I really love the humor in these items! Here's another one to add to your list. I needed a better looking doorstop for my bedroom door and found this fella:

Once he's under the door he looks as if he's been caught there and is trying to squeeze out - super cute.
