Good Questions: Where Can I Find this Leather Couch?
San Francisco

9-30-couch.jpgAT, I live near San Francisco. I am having a really hard time finding a leather couch. I basically want this couch, only in dark brown leather...

...I've looked all over the Bay Area and can't seem to find one like this--even though I think it's a pretty common-looking couch. Do you have any suggestions of couch brands/stores I might not have tried?

Thanks,
Joy

Another, less expensive, alternative is www.spheredesignsfurniture.com. They have a warehouse showroom in San Francisco. I just bought leather chairs there, and they have a couple different couches too.

I'm not sure - but here's a vintage Borge Mogensen sofa in brown leather that's very similar, and in brown leather:

Check out EQ3 - their "Tavern" sofa is pretty close, and it comes in leather. Made in Canada which is better than some options.

I have a sectional (model no longer available) from EQ3 in microfibre that I'm still extremely happy with, 2 yrs after purchase.

Check out Divon's Exeter couch. You can get it covered in whatever fabric including leather. There are furniture stores all over the country that carry this at really affordable prices. Look at

The exact sofa is at High Fashion Home. It's called the Stockholm Sofa. You'll have to inquire to see if you can special order it in a darker leather.

That's almost exactly the sofa in my living room. Except mine has a fitted back.

It's called the Tate, and it comes and goes on www.lofgrens.com. They have a bunch of leathers you can choose from.

Look at that! Now it has loose back cushions, too. :)

Check out Scandinavian Designs' Leona Sofa. It's exactly what you're looking for and only $895. I have it in off white leather and LOVE it.
Good luck!
