New Ikat Pieces at West Elm

We stopped by the West Elm in Corte Madera recently and instantly fell in like with their new ikat pattern. The goldish hue (they call it "sand dune") mixed with ivory seemed very versatile and not overly trendy at all. The price isn't to shabby, either...

The pattern is also available on their storage cubes, but only in the small size (dang). 1-8-09 west elm monroe.jpg We were also taken by the Monroe chair, shown here in mocha, that was in a similar gold-toned pattern (though not quite ikat). There's no mention of it on the website at the moment, but we'll keep checking, and if you've got a store nearby we suggest heading over to take a peek.

went by to see it yesterday. looks great. comfortable, but i had a huge coat on, couldn't really tell. the colour is a nice mustard-ish yellow, not sand.
