Spotted in LivingEtc's May issue: Poliform's Airport Sofa. Although its sheer vastness means it would take up all of any small space shown on AT, what caught our eye is the fact that it has a removable slipcover. . .and yet it looks modern and not at all Rachel Ashwell-like.

I love Rachel Ashwell. I met her in 2005 in LA and never felt more comfortable with a 'celebrity' designer. Her stores are beautiful, and I'd own a slipcovered sofa from her in a second if I could afford it. :) Maybe she'll design something to appeal to those with contemporary tastes, I know she has the capacity to do it, but wonder if she'd even go in that direction. I can see this sofa above fitting into her collection quite seamlessly.

Just clarifying that I didn't mean anything negative about Rachel Ashwell, just that her Shabby Chic sofas have a certain look, very different than this one. . .

Oh Leslie, of course you didn't -- I think we all know what you meant. It's not big and fluffy, more scaled down and modern. I agree!

For what this WHITE sofa must cost damn straight that it has a removable slip cover...
