Anyone in the Seattle area whose home has (or wants) even a touch of tropical Southeast Asia to it should have this place high on the hit list. Teak pieces dominate in the form of tables, cabinets and benches with ornate carved details.

This is where one could pick up a joglo – large pavilions ubiquitous in Javanese homes — or Buddha-themed garden sculptures made from volcanic rock. We especially appreciate David Smith & Co.’s selection of rattan chairs and loungers — styles rival Ikea’s assortment of similar pieces.

Unfortunately, David Smith & Co. has no online store as of yet, but the trip to the store is worth the experience.
