Seattle's Environmental Home Center is a nearly comprehensive resource for green building, renovation, and living.
Their retail space is in the Industrial District, but many of their products are available through an online store that also includes penty of educational materials.
Company founder and Green Living autodidact Matthew Freeman-Gleason shares the fruits of his research on the site, so you can learn how to go green on a budget or make sure you're up to the task of installing cork tile floors yourself before you make your purchasing decisions. (The marketing of green living can be bewildering and even misleading, so we appreciate an effort like this on the part of a retailer who is dealing directly with the public.)

I've been purchasing my paint from them - they are very helpful. My only gripe is that they close at 6pm during the week which limits me to picking up supplies on the weekend.
