On our next trip to Seattle, we definitely plan to go to Peter Miller Details in Belltown.
A couple of months ago we stumbled upon their website while looking for a Pentagram Calendar (sorry, dear readers, for getting your hopes up; they're sold out now), and immediately became intrigued. In fact, we recently blogged the Corbu Stencils we found on the site.
Peter Miller Details sells beautiful, well-designed home and office products. Its neighbor, Peter Miller Books, sells architectural and design books and supplies.
Peter Miller Details sells products from Alessi, Iittala, Marimekko, Stelton, to name just a few companies. Items include everything from flatware to clocks to glassware to desk accessories.
The website is so wonderfully curated that we look forward to seeing the actual store.
Oh, and if you're in, or going to, Seattle, be sure to see the website for A Very Small and Specific Guide to Seattle: Peter Miller's Favorites.
FYI - they are taking reserves for 2007 pentagram calenders... I'm already on the list. :)
They are nice calandars, but nothing beats a Nikki McClure calandar every year (for me anyway). Affordable art that changes monthly...gotta love it.
regards,
trillium
Sorry, my boyfriend bought the very last one of the oversized Pentagram wall calendars. It looks great in his office. The Peter Miller bookstore next door is amazing, packed with mainly architecture and graphic design books. I spent hours there trying to decide how to escape without spending too much money.
Peter Miller's Details store is no longer open. But never fear, Peter Miller Books is in its same locale and still offers the best in art/architecture books and accessories for home/office. Great place for gifts and stocking up on Moleskines, too. Forget the big box stores, shop locally and support your local bookseller!
