Good Questions: Shoe Storage Bench?

10-20-shoe bench.jpgDear AT,

I was browsing online for a shoe storage bench and this one caught my eye. Unfortunately it's from a UK site and I'm in Seattle.

I was wondering if readers could help me find a bench similiar to this one and < $100.

Thanks!
Amy

Amy,

We found quite a few online, but the only one under $100 was this Prepac Black Cubby Bench from Target.

Anyone else?

For under $100, I'd start searching the local Fleamarkets and Garage Sales...
...or get a handy friend with a woodshop in his garage to help you make one for you.

I think your best bet is to shop the online merchandise of K-Mart and Target (etc.) to get the price you're looking for.

A sample is below:

The Monterey Twin Cubbie bench is 99 dollars at Kmart and looks EXACTLY like that. I know that with tax it will be over 100 but if your heart is set on that one, save up and go for it!

I've been looking for one of these, too. Thanks for the question AND for the links!

We got something like this from smartbargains.com. I suggest looking there and overstock.com.

You might try homedecorators.com (not sure of the exact link but you can google it). I don't know if any are under $100, but they have a lot of storage benches with cubbies and all are pretty cheap.

I bought a similar one from Smart Bargains, and it has worked out great. Much cheaper than the similar ones you see at Pottery Barn. the only difficulty I have had it trying to find cute, inexpensive baskets / bins to fit in the compartments!
