I like the idea, but I'm not so sure about the execution. Mostly because the largest suitcase reminds me of a refrigerator.

Quite creative and brilliantly executed. Many people like the stacked luggage storage idea, but this is the first application that I've seen that is truly functional. Nobody wants to unstack their coffee table to look for something inn storage. HST, the design work needs some refinement. (Dezeen has close-ups.) Still got a "hot" from me.

Hot, and even hotter if they came in different colour schemes. I could easily see myself with an orangey-yellow set.

If "luggage" wasn't in the title of the post I would have thought they were appliances. Love the idea, but the perfectionist in me wants the handles in the middle of each "suitcase".

Would be hot if not for the six different nauseating shades of green. And killjoy is right - the handles should be in the middle of each 'case.' But this is a student project. I imagine any prudent manufacturer would insist on refinements.

Is somebody living inside that thing?
Reminds me of something a high school stage craft class might build for "The Dock Scene" in Guys & Dolls.
NOT.

I'm not really big on having as large a pile of suitcases as that as a piece of furniture. I don't like things that look like they might topple over, in general, even if they're secure. The colors are a little weird. I like that color family but it comes off a little "teenager-y" when I think of painting, say, a traditional armoire with the same block pattern. Novabass is pretty much on target with this looking quite like something built for a high school play, since it reads as "supposed to look like" something in a very naive suspense-of-disbelief way, although if the resemblance to actual luggage were finer, it would still be ... godawful.
The part about these compartments assembling in variations is ok, I suppose.

i love it :-D nothing for a crowded place, but with enough air around it it would work nicely.
especially when it comes with a maid/handyman living in the biggest suitcase :-P

Gorgeous...dreamy...all my favorite colors in one place.
The dull finish on the paint (?) makes it even more stunning.
But I agree with the ideas about changing out the handles.

This would actually be perfect as a room divider in my tiny, tiny apartment. My wardrobe barely fits half of my clothes, let alone my partners, so a beautiful wardrobe like this could take pride of place in my living room AND be useful!

saw this in person at dutch design week, last week! i like it, i like the colors.
i believe the the idea behind it is that when you move, you can easily break up the wardrobe and carry each suitcase to its new home without having to pack, unpack etc.

The concept could be clever, but as it stands, it reminds me more of something you would see as a graphic in a window display at a department store - sort of a rough draft of the luggage idea. The pieces should actually look like fine, vintage luggage. The shapes should vary a bit more. The handles should each be different but well executed. The bodies should be wrapped in different fabrics or colors of leather to actually replicate the idea of luggage. It should look like a grouping of different (unmatched) pieces that happen to coordinate beautifully. It's not there yet. And by revealing it so early, someone is very likely going to lift the idea and execute it better before they get their act together. (No one ever remembers the first person to come up with an idea - they remember the first BEST execution.)
Poltrona Frau's Oceano Trunk has nothing to worry about.

This configuration shows the handles in the center, and also configurations that adapt to one's space (also greener color family):
