Four THOUSAND dollars? Since one of these would look strange on its own, that's an $8k investment, minimum. Definitely too rich for my blood.

I disagree, a great looking chair on its own makes a statement (and I don't mean "I can only afford 1"!), also gives you more opportunity to collect. Although I've been accused of having too many singular chairs in my home as well.
