Despite our Midwestern fear of all houses built on a grade (irrational, perhaps, but we just don't trust 'em), we are very in love with the windows of this home, that look out into the surrounding trees. The interior design is pretty great, too.

The choose of not one, but three animal skin rugs in the same space is pretty off putting for me.

Is there such a thing as a house NOT built on a grade around here?

this is beautiful...i had a 2nd floor apartment with floor to ceiling windows like this, looking out into trees. right in the heart of the beach in SD too- it was magical. no building on a slope required!

That small white section of wall in the middle of all those windows is just asking to be torn down.
The expanse of floor to ceiling windows is great but that wall is such a horrible blemish. I would not last more than an hour or so before I broke and went for the wall.

Oh, it's all really beautiful! That is a "treehouse" I would love to stay in. Can you imagine hanging out on a rainy day watching the rain hit the leaves of each tree. I could get lost in that.

makes me feel better about my own log cabin "treehouse"... although the rest of my space is not nearly so expansive or light, since my walls are wooden like the ceiling.

Does anyone know where that yellow sofa is from? I'd love that in white vinyl or leather...
