Funky fruit. Among the many cool things Pam found while antiquing this past weekend were these vintage French urns. She's used them to display osage oranges. Although we've never heard of them before, we're intrigued by "those nubbly chartreuse green wonders." Via: housemartin

I think we called those "monkey balls" when I was a kid in Ohio. Always looked very odd to me.

We had thousands upon thousands of those in Kansas. BTW, they're quite effective in keeping crickets out of your home.

And spiders. We put a couple around the basement every year and our spider problem disappears right away.

Those are also called "brainfruit" in some areas. In Missouri, growing up, we had great fun pelting siblings with them.
