Rolling Huts by Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen

Rolling, rolling, rolling...This cluster of Rolling Huts is located in the small village of Mazama, Washington, and is used to house the owner's visiting family and friends. Seattle's Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen won the AIA Merit Award for the design of the low tech, low-impact guest quarters.

They're vaguely reminiscent of European traveling caravans. The photos on the OSKA website pique our curiosity -- we want to see more!

Beautiful. And I love OSKA's work. But how the hell do you level it? Do they meticulously ensure that the ground is perfectly flat and firm before they roll it out?

It looks great. I like how the glass make it look like the roof is not attached to the walls.
