apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

With three kids and lack of time, this room can never be finished. We have a small space, and misfortuned furniture. The livingroom is also a challenge for us as it as only 1 corner, the other 3 corners are: entry into the small hallway, entry into the kitchen, and main door entry. So it has been so difficult to figure out where to put what furniture so we haven't bought any (theses here are just hand me downs). So many details such as color scheme, type of furniture, spacing, etc. that need tending to and we feel so very overwhelmed!

Please help, we need a place to sit and function as a family. Any help would be a milestone.

I live in a 495 sq ft studio and I would love to make it function better. For example my closet is very (about 10 ft) long but narrow and I have no idea how to make it work for me therefore, clothes are every where. I have the god awful wire hanging shelves that I hate with a passion but I have no idea of what to replace them with. I would like to take a small portion of my kitchen and make a nice little office/eating nook.
